We were engaged by a home owner to provide 3D visualisation of a Grade II listed building renovation. The building had been a beautiful old pub with a complex layout and listed structural beams.
The renovation involved removing and adding walls, increasing ceiling heights, and building a rear kitchen diner extension with asymmetric roof. However, the complexity of the changes made it difficult for our clients to properly visualise the new design. As a result, they weren’t feeling confident about the proposed design meaning decisions were taking much longer.
We created a full 3D model of the entire home, allowing them to see what it would look like before they started building. They could take a tour through the whole house from room to room, getting a feel for the space, light, and layout. It was particularly useful to see the transformation to vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms, and the new rear kitchen diner.
We were also able to add furniture, finishes, and lighting to the model and provide 3D visuals. This meant they could compare different options and feel confident they were making the best decisions.
The 3D model was also invaluable for helping the builders understand what work they needed to do. They were able to use the model to help understand the structural drawings, reducing delays, queries and issues on site. Ultimately, this made for a considerably more efficient build process.
